Hartz Science Explorations (HSE) can work with your team or independently to accomplish your goals. We can use your protocols and methods to carry out sampling and data collection. We can also develop novel strategies as needed.
Biological Sampling
With a strong background in the biological sciences, HSE can cover everything from microbiological sampling to plant and tree surveys to wildlife observations.
Remote Instruments & Sensors
HSE can set up and/or maintain your meteorological station and other remote sensors. If you are starting from scratch, we can help you choose the sensors, data loggers, infrastructure, and the communications equipment you need.
Mountain & Safety Support
HSE can help your team move through mountainous, glaciated, and technical terrain. Rope belays, rappelling, glacier travel are all part of our skillset. Aaron Hartz is trained as a wilderness first responder and in the safe and effective use of firearms.
Avalanche
Do you work in avalanche terrain in the mountain environment? We offer snowpack evaluation, avalanche safety consultation, and guidance in the field.
